Green Tennis (GT) project /№ 101089514 — GT — ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SSCP/ general objective is to support the environment and climate actions which are key EU priorities now and in the future through elaborating, piloting, and disseminating of:

  • Interactive digital map of local good green practices in tennis in the project participating countries
  • Toolkit (with check list) for grassroots tennis clubs how to become green sports clubs
  • Communication campaign and sports event
  • Responsibility Recommendation guidelines for grassroots tennis clubs including concrete steps how to leverage the influence of tennis to address environment sustainability at local community level

GT specific project objectives

To research on best green practices in tennis sports clubs at project participating countries along with available green policy recommendations and initiatives in community grassroots sports as a whole; to elaborate and disseminate a digital interactive map including minimum 10 best practices in grassroots tennis sports

To raise awareness about the benefits of green grassroots sport to society through launching one communication campaign in diverse communities' places of interest, public spaces, three sport events and using online channels thus promoting the EU green deal in and through sports; and the GT newly elaborated website

To elaborate and disseminate an innovative digital toolkit (with check list) for grassroots tennis clubs how to become green sports clubs targeting (presented at) 10 sports clubs and 10 sports staff in project participating countries

To become a reference model for the sustainable social legacy and green governance of tennis sports clubs by elaborating and disseminating a Responsibility Recommendation Guidelines for grassroots tennis clubs including concrete steps how to leverage the influence of tennis to address environment sustainability at local community level.
